Why Swimsound

Founded in Liverpool in 2010 and still family run, Swimsound teaches hundreds of children and adults across Merseyside every week.
Small classes
No more than 6 swimmers per teacher in all Ducklings and Stages lessons, and 8 in Advanced classes.

Every teacher holds an enhanced DBS check and we follow the Wavepower child protection policy.

Parents stay poolside to support their child, and can see what they are working towards in the app.

Before you book
Questions parents ask first
What age can my child start lessons?
We teach children aged three years and above. Visiting a pool together beforehand helps your child feel at home on their first lesson.
How many children are in each class?
All Ducklings and Stages lessons have a maximum of 6 swimmers per teacher. Advanced classes have a maximum of 8.
Are the teachers qualified and DBS checked?
Yes. Every member of staff who works with children has the appropriate DBS check, and we follow the Wavepower child protection policy.
Do I need to re-book for the next course?
No. Your place is reserved until you tell us otherwise. Each new course is invoiced by email with a payment link.
What do we need to bring?
Swimwear and a towel. Goggles are optional. We provide all floats and teaching equipment.
Do lessons run in the school holidays?
Yes, through half terms and Easter. Lessons pause for about two weeks at Christmas and for the summer break.
