Swimsound are proud to be a learning destination for the Children’s University.
The Children’s University is a charity
that works to encourage and celebrate children’s participation in exa-curricular activities in and outside of school. The impact of these activities is proven to be positive by impacting on attainment, self-confidence and resilience.
Children who participate in the Children’s University have the opportunity to learn in a rich range of contexts, experience new places, visit universities and attend their own graduation ceremonies. This adventure introduces children to the joy of learning, brings a sense of wonder in the world around them and develops their confidence and aspirations for the brightest futures.
A Passport To Learning has been created, in which 7 to 14 year old children – and 5 and 6 year olds with grown-ups – collect ‘stamps’ and hours of accredited learning. This contributes to the award of a certificate.
Children can now collect stamps in their swimming lessons at Swimsound!
