We are delighted to announce that St Edward’s College have kindly given us the opportunity to run swimming lessons on a Saturday afternoon starting from Saturday 14th January. This will be our biggest venue yet, with a 25m pool which is up to 3 meters deep. It was a close competition especially at half time with first and second place being separated by just two points. However, the relay races gave Bryony’s team the edge and help secure their triumph. Congratulations to Thomas Torpey who has been awarded Swimsound’s Swimmer of the Month for October. Thomas is always enthusiastic and listens well to his teacher Karen. He achieved his 5 meters award in July and he has been determined to swim a width ever since. Swimsound celebrated its 6 year anniversary on Saturday evening. The Swim school began with 5 pupils in Gateacre Secondary School, we now have five facilities, 12 coaches, and hundreds of pupils who come along each week for quality swimming lessons. Congratulations to Haris who has been awarded Swimsound’s prestigious award, swimmer of the month! Haris always works hard in his lessons with Bryony and has recently achieved his Stage 4 award.
